Company Rescue Group -ZGR

The issues of protecting the life and health of our employees and residents of Częstochowa and the surrounding area are our priority. In order for the works at the plant to be carried out safely, the Company Rescue Group (ZGR) was established, whose basic tasks include:

• securing gas- and fire-hazardous works,
• ongoing monitoring of dangerous gas concentrations at the plant,
• quick response to local failures,
• close cooperation with the State Fire Service in the field of preventing fires and serious environmental accidents.

The Company Rescue Group was equipped with many different technical means required to effectively perform its duties, such as: a MAN combat vehicle with a water and foam cannon, breathing apparatus, multi-gas detectors, a turbofan, a 250 kg powder unit, a turbo-pump and a motor pump. The Management Board of the Coking Plant systematically equips the ZGR and trains members of the group to be ready for many different threat scenarios. The plant also regularly organizes exercises to check the staff readiness to deal with crisis situations. The results of the exercises are analyzed and the conclusions are used to further improve the Occupational Health and Safety Management System.
